Some souls are born to be free, to run wildly, to roam liberally. They live to love, exist, and undergo every experience they were born to undergo. Yet these very same souls are oppressed and bound together by grinding chains. Their souls are broken, and their freedom is stolen. That is exactly why observing animals in their natural habitat is one of the most magnificent experiences possible. It’s so liberating to see these creatures live out their destinies without interruptions or selfish human interventions. They live like they were born to, not like humans desire them to.
I was fortunate enough to witness this fascinating scene during my trip to South Africa. It was without a doubt one of the highlights of the trip, and one of my most memorable travel experiences thus far.
During my trip to Capetown, I had the opportunity to visit Aquila game reserve which is located about a 3 hour drive away from the city. There, springboks, rhinos, elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and lions roam freely as they are admired from afar. While there, I took countless pictures of these splendid animals living like normal animals, and it was simply wonderful.
That’s my safari experience summed up! I can’t believe I’m even writing about it now, a few weeks after experiencing this wonderful adventure! There’s still lots of moments from the trip that I have yet to share with you, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about them!
