The Elephant Experience | Phuket #3

Some experiences are incomparable, unique. Moments that define our story and become forever engraved in our memories. For me, most of those moments have been related to travel. Visiting the Pyramids at Giza, the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Statue of Liberty, and many more. But in some of these places we make unforgettable memories, which for me have definitely been riding a camel (in Egypt), a dromedary (in Tunisia), and now an elephant. It was such an amazing experience being able to interact with these wonderful creatures, and discovering a new place. The location of the elephant park was perfect, next to a forest and overlooking the sea.

This was one occasion where I felt that comfort should be a priority in the look. I didn’t want to wear something I wouldn’t feel comfortable in, or that would weigh the elephant down, or that would make the ride difficult. My Stan Smiths were the first thing I grabbed, mainly because they were the only sneakers I brought, but also because they make my feet feel like I’m walking on clouds. Then, a basic white crop-top which I could pair with absolutely anything, and would, at the same time, keep me cool in the sweltering weather. That left an endless amount of possibilities for what I could wear for bottoms. The first item I discarded was a skirt, unpractical, and too dressy for the occasion. Jeans? No, it was way too hot. But harem pants? Absolutely perfect! Breezy, comfortable, and practical without losing the style factor. I bought these ones at the market next to Wat Arun, in Bangkok, and yes; those are elephants on the design. If there was ever a time to wear these pants, it was unquestionably then!
