A wedding is a ceremony in which two people interchange vows which will immortalize their love. It’s an occasion to celebrate, be merry, and bring out your best apparel. There are so many challenges in dressing for the bride; finding something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and, of course, that perfect dress. But being a guest the possibilities are almost endless, nothing white nor black, and something suitable for the occasion will do. Earlier this month, I faced the ease of dressing as a guest when I attended my uncle’s wedding, which took place in the quaint Austrian town of Rust. Cobbled streets, painted houses, and sunny skies made for the perfect setting. The cool May breeze was blowing, and I’m not going to lie, I was absolutely freezing.
To the wedding, I wore a dress from BCBG which was 100% me! The lilac hue of the dress is my absolute favorite, and I think the color really enhances my eye and hair color. The ruffled detailing of the dress added some dimension and texture to the look without being too over the top. Thankfully, the dress had a black bow which helped sinch it in, and made it more form-flattering. Over the dress, I wore a cropped, crepe jacket from Zara which kept me (somewhat) warm and made the look more youthful. I accessorized with a clutch from Michael Kors, and a pair of heels.

I had so much fun while shooting these photos! The town was incredibly beautiful and made for the perfect backdrop. Then when I came to edit these photos I remembered how confident I felt wearing that dress, and am now incredibly satisfied with the results of the images. There’s only one more Vienna post to come, and then *drumroll please*, my Stratford posts!
