The 70’s trend is one I have wholeheartedly embraced. Not only were the seventies a great decade fashion wise, but to me they hold an element of nostalgia since both of my parents were born then. It is one of my favorite decades where fashion is concerned because of the fringe, flare, and loose silhouettes that dominated the time. The 70’s were all about peace, and love which can easily be seen by the trends of the time. The bohemian style (my favorite) dominated the days.
As you can see, the color palette of this look was very monochromatic, except for the pop of color which was added using the bag (similar options here and here). The loose shape of the bag and the fringe added a bohemian element to the mostly formal look. Different textures helped make the look more interesting, and served to add some contrast between the pieces. All of the pieces I’m wearing except the bag are ones I would consider wardrobe staples. A crisp white shirt, a leather jacket, and a pair of black booties.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to post in the upcoming week, but whenever it may be I’m sure the destination and scenery will make up for it! I’m going somewhere tropical, rich with culture, and delicious food. If you have any guesses about where I’m going leave them in the comment section!
